The Montgomery County Commissioners are pleased to announce the long awaited GIS link is now available from our county's home page at www.montgomeryco.net. By clicking on "Montgomery County Mapping Department" logo on the bottom right hand corner of our homepage, you will be connected to the Schneider's "Beacon" website with Montgomery Co., IN set as the default.
We currently have layers showing addresses, fire hydrants, incorporated town limits, city of Crawfordsville 2 mile limit, legal drains, parcels and a host of other mapping options available to the public. By clicking the "Search" tab, at the top of the page, the taxpayers can access parcel numbers and tax information. If a taxpayer has questions or concerns about his or her information, they will have the ability to perform a comparable search by clicking the "Comp Search" button. If you need to send an e-mail to an elected official, you may do so directly from the "Map" page of Montgomery County. The elected officials and department heads with e-mail addresses are hi-lighted in blue. Simply click on the person you wish to contact and you will go directly to a message screen.
Other layers can and will be added as the site evolves. We are hopeful this product will be helpful to the citizens of Montgomery County and even to businesses and individuals who may want to locate to our community from other areas of the state and country.
**Please note that the property tax rates listed are subject to change. Auditor Michelle Cash is currently in the process of calculating the new tax rates. This process will take approximately 30 to 45 days.
