Well the month of Nov is here and we have a mixed bag of weather some cold and some warmer.
Well now the Veteran Roudebush Hospital and Danville, Il Hospitals are open for limited access for appointments but nothing available for drivers to take veterans to the VA.
We have had no veterans go to the VA this month.
I have had 59 phone calls into my office and 14 people that came into my office for an appointments.
Oh by the way the Veteran Expo was a success as we had 66 people got flu shot given by Walgreen Drugs. While Walgreen is not the current Pharmacy of Record for shots they did provide shot for the Expo.
Veterans could use the current Pharmacy which is CVS when they have flu shots.
Please don’t forget our Veterans Day is Wednesday the 11th of November. Some of the places that offer food are Applebee's, The Forum, Bob Evans, Buffalo Wild Wings, O’Charlie’s, are just a few of the restaurant’s
That will be giving free meals from a limited menu.
Please Note I will be at the American Legion Post 72 in Crawfordsville on Thursday 5th of November from 1:00 pm until 4:30 to help set up claims so come in and see me.
The VA announced that they have already completed nearly half of the 69,000 claims for Blue Water Navy, for Agent Orange for those veterans that were on board ships that we within 12 nautical miles off the coast of Vietnam
They have completed 34,415 (48%) of the 69,570 claims received of which 24,328 (71%) have been granted awarding more than $664 million in retroactive benefits to eligible veterans and families as of Sept. 30, 2020.
If you need a DD-214 please call the Recorders Office to see if they have your DD-214 on file, if they don't please call me to see if I have one or we will order you one.
